Everyone encounters them, firefighters who seek to quench the fire of the Spirit in another's life. Too often those firefighters are found in church. Christians are to be fire starters, filled with burning passion. "How Firefighters Become Fire Starters" looks at the importance of being fire starter rather than firefighters, and suggests how one can become a fire starter.
This reminds me of something I heard Mike Slaughter, pastor of Ginghamsburg Church, said one time. I'm summarizing, but he quoted John Wesley saying that if you catch on fire, people will come to see you burn. Unfortunately, many people in the church won't pour gasoline on your fire; they become the fire brigade and pour buckets of water on you.
