Terrorist plot

Thanks be to God that the British police thwarted a terrorist plot today to blow up a number of airplanes on their way from England to the USA.  Without a doubt they saved hundreds, perhaps thousands of lives.

The news reports are saying that the terrorists were "homegrown".  What kind of hatred is it that would motivate a person to kill men, women & children indiscriminately?  What kind of religion teaches such evil? 

I pity the faithful Muslims in Briton who go to work everyday and seek to raise their families in peace and security.  How can they face their neighbors and co-workers, when so many of their own are attempting to destroy life?

Certainly Christians don't have pure hands and terrible atrocities have been done in the name of Christ.  However, if a group of self-proclaimed Christians plotted to do something like this, I would be the first to condemn their actions.

Will we ever hear Muslim clerics vehemently condemning the actions of Islamic terrorists?

Many clerics in UK have condemned terrorism as have the main organisations such as MCB and MAB.

Often they are not listened to because they also feel that aspects of foreign policy are causing young Muslims more prone into being drawn into such activities.

IN UK we need to listen more - and that certainly includes our simplistic media.
