Mark Winter

Reminds me of another goofy PC decision made in my neck of the woods last year: administrators at Liberty Elementary School in Colleyville, Texas deleted "In God We Trust" from an oversize nickel on the front of the yearbook so students of differing religions would not be offended.

Students who wanted "In God We Trust" were given decals to stick on their yearbook covers.

Sad story, Mark.

Even back in my atheist years, I never advocated such savage hatred of religion. I wonder who the school district is trying to protect? How many secular people out there really get all worked up about "In God We Trust"?
